Current Students

As students enter the College they receive a student organiser in which College rules expectations and strategies for effective learning are included. The organiser is the primary vehicle for communication between home and school and enables both parents and teachers to monitor work requirements, progress and behaviour. Building a positive home/ school partnership is important.

At Grovedale College students have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and participate in a wide range of learning activities outside the regular curriculum.

Students participate in all aspects of the College Production and GAFFA( Grovedale Arts Festival For All), compete in inter-school debating and chess competitions, local and community Public Speaking Competitions, Tournament of Minds, The State School Spectacular and Drama Competitions. Students are also offered opportunities to apply for The College Sports Academy, Community and Student Leadership Conferences, Industry Scholarships and subject based state and national competitions.

As well as having a Home Group, students are supported by a Chaplain and School Welfare Coordinator. Students have access to individual and group support in times of need and can participate in a wide range of activities and programs provided by the team.
